When is beach club volleyball season?

Typically beach club season starts with tryouts in June when indoor is winding down but since beach is getting bigger it is now a year round sport. Beach Elite offers club seasons for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer! When kids are on Summer Break we practice 5 days a week and also include summer camps for those interested. The bulk of beach tournaments are on a weekly basis from July through August so our practices. We play in CBVA tournaments and also host our tournaments.  As beach volleyball grows we are seeing that the season is getting longer and longer with tournaments in the Fall, WInter and Spring. Beach Elite holds practices and clinics year round to keep our athletes ready to also compete in these off season tournaments.

How many times a week do you practice?

During Summer season we practice an average of 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) and an in house tournament on Friday. In the off season (September-May) we practice three to four days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday)

How long has Beach Elite been around?

We love this question as we love to tell our story. We officially started as a beach club in 2014 and acquired some of the most talented indoor players in surrounding Newport Beach. After only one year, we drew the attention of and partnered with AVP pro Casey Patterson, partnered with an massive adult beach sports league, attracted and acquired three sponsors and our youth membership grew by 183%! And that's all in the first year!

Do you have an indoor program as well?

In November of 2016, we officially started an indoor program in Costa Mesa. We started with a girls 13u club team and our team did very well. So for 2017 we opened the door to adding both boys and girls team. We currently have competitive teams from ages 8-18 years old for both boys and girls. Our only requirement to play with us: You want to play and get better at volleyball!

We practice at middle schools and high schools in Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach, CA. We compete in the SCVA and OC VolleyHigh leagues.

Do you have an adult program?

Yes, we have NIGHT COURT for all of our adult beach players! This is a very unique league in that we play under the lights of the beach volleyball court at Los Caballeros Sports Club in Fountain Valley. We offer short 5 week seasons that include playoffs and finals. Teams are coed and either 3-man or 4-man. Click HERE for more information.

Magnolia Street Volleyball Courts

Our main beach courts are at Magnolia Street at Huntington State Beach. We currently have 7 professional courts all designed, installed and maintained by Beach Elite. There is a roundabout right in front of our courts to provide easy drop off and pick up for our athletes. We also have special discounted State Beach Parking Passes available. In the Spring of 2018, we were asked by and host classes through the city of Newport Beach at Corona Del Mar beach courts and 15th Street courts on the Balboa Peninsula.

Team volunteering at Rise Against Hunger, Oct 2018

We are experts on the beach. All other clubs in Orange County are indoor programs first and some have tried or are trying to create beach programs. Beach Elite was born on the beach and proven itself as a beach powerhouse with its positive programs and excellent coaching style! We know the beach game better than anyone else. We also are very active in providing service to our local community. Our program is developed by seasoned beach coach Rick Reeve and #1 AVP beach player Casey Patterson (Rio 2016 Olympian). We have a proven coaching method that is earning our beach athletes championships on the beach.
