THE STORY OF BEACH ELITE
In 2005, Rick (founder of Beach Elite) moved to Huntington Beach from Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was attending school. Indoor volleyball was his passion. When he moved to Huntington Beach his new passion became beach volleyball. He started working for AVP immediately and has since rubbed shoulders and worked with the biggest names in beach volleyball. He made playing beach volleyball a regular part of his weekly schedule and eventually made a career change to where he could play even more on the sand.

One day, a parent asked Rick if he'd be willing to coach a private session for her niece. The mother's goal was for her daughter to make her middle school indoor team in the upcoming season.  All of the team players were experienced club players. Her niece had never even touched a volleyball let alone played.  Long story short, after training with Rick, she made the team!

This event motivated Rick to start coaching. In 2010, Rick began coaching indoor high school and club volleyball in and around Huntington Beach. He coached for teams in Newport Beach, Fountain Valley and Laguna Beach.  More and more parents of his players would ask him if he'd be willing to teach and coach their child the beach game. After many inquiries from parents, Rick finally decided to say yes and began taking his indoor players onto the sand and training them to be competitive beach volleyball players.

In the Summer of 2014, Rick officially created Beach Elite Volleyball, a beach volleyball club for youth in and around the Newport Beach area. "I saw a need and I filled it!" said Rick.

In Spring of 2015, he drew the attention of world -famous beach volleyball superstar Casey Patterson. He and Casey are currently working on a partnership deal to take Beach Elite to the next level.
