Below are basic instructions for the week.

DIRECTIONS and PARKING: We are at Huntington State Beach @ Brookhurst Street. We are the last light before Newport Beach and the jetty. There is a convenient round about when you pull into Brookhurst for drop off and pick up. If you want to come into the park when Brookhurst entrance gate is closed enter at Magnolia street as that gate is always open. If you want to purchase a parking pass , which we recommend if you don't have a State Beach pass, text 714 290 3730 to purchase. We may have them for sale at camp in the registration tent (depending on availability) These expire Jan 2027

DROP OFF/PICK UP:
Option 1 - Roundabout on Brookhurst when you enter off of PCH.
Option 2 - Enter the park and pick up in front of courts at Brookhurst.

Normally on the first day of the week, we will have a staff member at the roundabout to greet and direct players and parents to check in. There is a low traffic two lane road and a bike path that players cross to get to the camp and we can assist players to cross safely. We will also assist and supervise players at pick up by helping them get back to the pick up spot at the roundabout.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT: Normall Normally Parent/Guardians will need to sign in and sign out their child each day of camp with a camp instructor. This can be done at the registration tent.

First Day of Camp - Players and parents/guardians are to come to the check-in tent. There will be a staff member and table to check in. After checking in we will then direct you to pick up your child's gear (shirt, backpack, visor) and then direct them where to set their belongings and what court to report to for camp. If they ordered or want to buy sand socks and other gear we will have those at check in and will accept pay via Venmo.

All Other Days of Camp - Parent/Guardian has to check in/check out campers at the registration tent.

MORNING CAMP DAY SCHEDULE (subject to change)
9am-9:15am CHECK IN/WARM UP
9:15am-11am SKILLS TRAINING AND DRILLS
11am-12pm SCRIMMAGE/GAMES or BEACH (some campers {with instructor supervision} may go down to the water to play in the waves and sand. No swimming) We will take water and snack breaks when appropriate

ALL DAY campers will have a lunch/snack break under the tents with instructor supervision between the morning camp ending and the afternoon camp starting. Parents encourage to pack their child a lunch or snacks for All day campers. BE doesn’t provide lunch

AFTERNOON CAMP SCHEDULE (1-4pm)
1pm-1:15pm CHECK IN/WARM UP
1:15pm-3pm SKILLS TRAINING, GAMES AND DRILLS
3pm-4pm SCRIMMAGE/GAMES or BEACH (some campers {with instructor supervision} may go down to the water to play in the waves and sand. No swimming) We will take water and snack breaks when appropriate

ASSESSMENT/COURT ASSIGNMENTS: For our camp players, we split them up according to age and/or skill level and each day we focus on a basic skill as well as add standard all around drills. The first day of camp is an assessment day where we may move some players to different courts to make sure everyone is at the appropriate skill level.
5-Day Campers:
Monday - Passing
Tuesday - Setting
Wednesday - Hitting
Thursday - Serving
Friday - All skils/Scrimmages or Tournament (tournament is an option for Elite Campers. Must sign up. Contact camp director for moe info)

3 Day Campers:
Monday- Passing/setting
Wednesday - Hitting/Serving
Friday - All Skills

WHAT TO BRING: Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, hat and/or glasses. We provide visors, backpacks and shirts on the first day of camp. Sometimes wee provide sunscreen (although we can't apply it) extra water and canopies for shade at breaks.

TOURNAMENTS: We host tournaments every Friday for compeitive athletes and also make it an option for our campers. These tournaments serve many purposes with one being to help introduce new players to playing in competitive tournaments and all the things that come with it including being referees. And two, to provide a way for our athletes to implement everything we've taught them and apply it in a game play experience. We also have medals for 1st place. We provide pizza for lunch too. These are great events and the kids absolutely enjoy them!
