“My volleyball coaching career began in 1986, when I started coaching with Laguna Beach and Mission Valley Volleyball Clubs.  During this time, I led the U-14, 16 and 18 elite teams. In addition, I was the primary clinic coach for both clubs. Much of my energy was put into teaching fundamentals for beginning players and technique refinement for advanced players. Along the way I coached girls varsity teams for El Toro and Laguna Beach high schools and ran high school volleyball summer camps in Colorado and Idaho as well as beach clinics.

After 15 years of club and high school coaching and teaching in Orange County, I moved to South America, with my wife and infant son. There I worked as a secondary school administrator all the while coaching varsity teams and coaches. We added a daughter along the way and continued working, living and coaching in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Indonesia. My wife, an educator and volleyball enthusiast as well, and our 2 children are now 13 and 15. I am very happy to be home in America, working with a Charter School and continuing coaching as well.

My goal in coaching has always been to help each player reveal and positively refine their personality through hard work, commitment and team building, while fulfilling their athletic potential.”
